Third-Party Reproductive Consultations

If you’re pursuing fertility treatment with donor sperm, donor eggs, donor embryos, or a gestational carrier, your clinic may require a mental health consultation as part of the process. But this session isn’t just a box to check, it’s an opportunity to explore the emotional, relational, and long-term considerations of building your family in this unique way.

As a therapist trained in reproductive mental health, I provide consultations that meet ASRM (American Society for Reproductive Medicine) guidelines while honoring the deeply personal nature of this decision.

We’ll talk about topics like:

• Emotional readiness and expectations

• Grief and identity when using third-party help

• Family dynamics and boundaries

• Partner communication and alignment

• Talking to children about donor conception

• Legal, ethical, and relational considerations

• Long-term emotional impact and support planning

This is a space to slow down, reflect, ask questions, and feel supported in what can often be a very clinical and fast-moving process.

• One 60-minute individual or couple session (as required by your clinic)

• A thorough, thoughtful conversation tailored to your path

• Space to process any emotions that are coming up

• Completion of all required documentation for your fertility clinic
